Where do people in your community go to learn how to start these conversations? You may be able to offer the first step…
The Conversations for Life programme can deliver:
- A 3 hour, community based workshop for your group or organisation. (Sponsorship or fees required)
- Facilitation for your community-based organisations (Care homes, hospices, churches, etc.) to act as a ‘community convener‘ to engage other organisations in this conversation.
- Consulting and materials to launch an integrated, community-wide awareness initiative based on our pilot tested programme in collaboration with NHS Cumbria
If you are interested in helping to raise this awareness within your community or organisation, contact us for an overview and fees.
If you are a sponsoring or funding organisation or individual, you can make these community based workshops possible in your community.
Our programme for Communities
NHS Cumbria, in collaboration with the Conversations for Life programme and a project steering team, have joined together to launch this programme Cumbria-wide, including:
- short film/DVD of local stories to inspire awareness and conversations
- the website of resources for access to information, and
- community-based workshops to support people to talk about what they want for their care
The Cumbria programme is about raising awareness Cumbria-wide, yet the need for this awareness is national. To learn more go to
NHS End of Life Care Strategy and the National End of Life Care Programme.
